Salona Yachts

The AD company was founded in 2002 as an independent working unit in collaboration with the AD Plastik company, leading manufacturer in car spares in this part of Europe. In as little as the next year AD Boats will start to operate independently tieing in with the almost two thousand year long tradition in shipbuilding in this area, but also with the world's high ranking in shipbuilding in general.

Since the end of 2007 the AD Boats have been in possession of the Prevent group which was founded in 1952 as a manufacturer of working garment and protective clothing. Today it does business as a multinational company in more than 20 countries all over the world.

We started with the manufacture of the Salona 45 model, and afterwards we launched the Salona 40 and the Salona 37 model and expanded to the product line of Maestral boats. In 2007 the Salona 42 has been introduced and in August of 2008 the Salona 34 will have its first run.

The global market recognised Salona – eighty per cent of the manufacture is intended for export while the selling and the service network operates almost all over the world.

We are situated not far from the ancient Salona whose name derives from the Illyrians. Developed by the Roman emperor Diokletian it became a strong harbour. Historians hold that it was exactly Salona from where Christianity spread all over the region. Our mission is, however, to expand with Salona quality and comfort for our customers!
