Introducing the RS Venture – coming soon to the RS Sailing line up
RS Sailing will soon launch the RS Venture dinghy within its All Purpose Boats (APB) range. The design concept is to deliver a large multi-role dinghy suitable for cruising, training or even club racing, in response to growing demand from training centres, private customers and international RS dealers. With a capacity for up to 6 people (or 500kg max), the RS Venture offers a stable vessel that can sit on a mooring as well as having the option of storing and deploying an outboard engine, yet is responsive enough to give rewarding performance under sail, like every RS. RS100 class building all over the globe
The RS100 class is continuing to increase its presence worldwide in 2011, with over 60 new boats dispatched already this year to 15 different countries. The largest numbers have been delivered to Germany, the USA, Switzerland and the UK. Gaining a larger and larger international presence, the RS100 can also now be spotted in Canada and Thailand – really beginning to spread across the world! Building on the strength of its launch last year, the RS100 racing scene is also gaining momentum with each event in 2011. RS500 Magic Marine World Championship hits 50 entries RS Games – 15-26th August 2011 – Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy May 2011 – A record-breaking 50 entries have now been received for the RS500 World Championship. The competition forms part of the RS Games, one of the biggest dinghy racing events ever held, which is set to take place this August at the 2012 Olympic sailing venue in Weymouth. The 50th entry came from Netherlands sailors, Barend Hilterman and Max Blom, who were last year’s bronze medallists, and who recently won the RS500 Easter Garda Cup event in Italy.
