Following on from the success of its innovative Scanpod range, Scanstrut, has added a number of new models to its increasingly popular collection.

The new models include both Helm and Mast Pods, which allow for the installation of up to three or four standard electronic instruments, as well as an additional Mast Pod model with the ability to hold up to two maxi instruments.

All boat users understand the importance of keeping electronic equipment secure and dry whilst out on the water. With this in mind, the new models have been designed using marine grade acrylic capped (ABS) plastic to provide ultimate durability and UV protection from even the harshest of elements.

The pods have been manufactured using a high tear strength silicone with an outstandingly high resistance to heat and UV. The Scanpod range has been extensively tested prior to production, against temperatures of up to 55°C and G-shocks of over 6 grammes, providing exceptional peace-of-mind to the consumer when placing electronic equipment inside the pods.

As with all models in the Scanpod range, the new pods are easy to install. Injection moulded ABS inserts have been placed into the front of the pod, enabling fixings to be fitted securely. A lip allows the front and back of the pod to be fitted together seamlessly.

For the style conscious sailor, the Scanpods feature an updated seal design for a smart, clean profile. It has a very high resistance to heat and UV so you can have confidence it won’t deteriorate over time.
