Henri Lloyd was established in 1963 in Manchester, England. Mr Henri, as he is known, founded the company based upon hard earned principles of honesty, integrity and freedom and it is these principles that are the foundations of the Henri-Lloyd brand today. One of Mr Henri’s many talents, passed on to his sons who have steered the business for the last 2 decades, is the ability to treat everyone with the same level of genuine interest, wit and charm whoever they are.

Henri Lloyd have very great pride in their associations with exceptional individuals and are delighted to announce their continued support of Yachtsman of the Year, Geoff Holt. Building on their existing relationship with the quadriplegic sailor, Henri Lloyd has entered into a Performance Clothing Partnership with Holt which will continue throughout 2011.
Holt will be wearing a range of technical clothing including the Atmosphere 3 base layer, Eco fleece mid-layer and the Octane wind-stopper jacket. As a result of his disability, he is unable to control his body temperature so it is vital he remains warm and dry at all times, but without overheating which can be as dangerous as getting too cold. Following on from the success of last year’s event, Henri Lloyd once again hosted two Technical Excellence Training Days at the UKSA in Cowes on the 4th and 5th April.
Henri Lloyd were able to take advantage of the UKSA’s superb training facilities to provide key distributors and staff detailed and in-depth workshops on their wide range of fabric technology. The Green Blue were on hand to provide information on sustainable boating and in the afternoon suppliers were able to put the Henri Lloyd products to the test when they jumped onboard the UKSA’s exciting J80 fleet for a few hours of sailing. Yachtsman of the Year, Geoff Holt, ensured the day ended on a high note by delivering an inspirational talk to the group.

Following on from the success of last year’s Technical Excellence Training Event at the UKSA in Cowes, Henri Lloyd has extended their training scheme to Scotland.
Henri Lloyd were able to take advantage of the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club’s superb facilities to provide Henri Lloyd retailers with a detailed and in-depth workshop on their wide range of fabric & product technology. In the afternoon the group attempted to put the Henri Lloyd products to the test when they tried jumping onboard 2 matched Sigma 33s, supplied by Team Works, for a few hours of sailing but the Scottish weather had other ideas. Wind speeds gusted to 50knts so sailing was unfortunately cancelled for the afternoon.

As part of Henri Lloyd’s long term strategy to become a more environmentally sustainable company, they are delighted to announce their continued official partnership with The Green Blue, the environment initiative of the Royal Yachting Association and the British Marine Federation.
The Green Blue personnel will wear clothing from Henri Lloyd’s technical range, including the acclaimed Blue-Eco Collection and in return will provide advice on energy saving technology and services. In a bid to spread the environmental message further, The Green Blue will also offer Henri Lloyd staff members and distributors practical advice on sustainable boating.
