Leading sailing clothing manufacturer, Henri-Lloyd, has been chosen as Official Technical Clothing Sponsor to Sir Robin Knox-Johnston when he competes in the VELUX 5 OCEANS round the world race, which commences on the 22 October 2006 from Bilbao, Spain, on board his yacht, Saga Insurance.

Henri Lloyd's relationship with Sir Robin goes back to 1968, when Sir Robin wore Henri Lloyd as he became the first person to sail non-stop around the planet on Suhaili in The Sunday Times Golden Globe, since then Sir Robin has had a close friendship with Henri Lloyd, so it was a natural decision to for both to work together again on Sir Robin's next epic transglobe race.

The clothing supplied features many of the developments introduced in Henri-Lloyd's new 2006 & 2007 range's. Henri-Lloyd is also supplying Sir Robin's support team with all their technical and shore wear team kit.
