Machine washable shoes and GoreTex Jacket

New from Henri Lloyd is a windstopper lightweight jacket called Bora. It's very lightweight, very soft and comes with two zipped external side pockers as well as two deep internal pockets on the inside as well plus an external small zipped chest pocket and is retailing around £125.

The jacket comes in a dark charcoal / black or a light grey and is ideal suited as a light wind cheater style jacket when the sun is shining but on the water the wind can bring the temperature down. Henri-Lloyd market this as part of their Soft Shell range and soft it is most certainly is.

This garment has been designed to provide comfort and performance to the wearer and was developed alongside W L Gore technologies and is part of the Soft Shell Warm Zone range. Being made from Gore Windstopper fabric ensures that it's not only tough, wind and water resistant, but also extremely breathable, making it the ideal jacket for cool spring and summer sailing.

Now we have the jacket sorted out we need to get something equally cool on our feet and Rockport have exactly that in the Machine Washable Bridgeport Deckshoes from Rockport from £65. They have produced a pair of leather deckshoes that when they require cleaning can simply be placed in the washing machine. I've been wearing these shoes on and off for the past 3 months and being light in colour they do show and small marks. But true to their word, they were placed in the washing machine and they come out perfectly clean again!

The are made from washable full grain leather making them easy to clean and maintain to extend product life and they are unlined which leads to greater breathability and cooler feet. They are sewn with Strobel which helps to provide slipper-like comfort and provides forefoot flexibility. I love these shoes for the simple fact they are so simple and easy to maintain and keep them looking just like new.
