The new Phantom 48 takes it's looks from the Targa 47
Leading luxury motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Boats will un-mask the new Phantom 48 at Southampton 2006 Boat Show. Fairline's latest Phantom is an exciting new product as not only is she the latest addition to the class-leading flybridge cruiser range, but she will be the first Fairline Phantom that will be offered in a choice of striking hull colours.

A modern contemporary look, similar to the Targa 47, the new Phantom 48 will be priced from £469,000 Looking very similar to the Targa 47, the new Phantom 48 will be priced from £469,000 (inc. VAT) and boasting well-proportioned accommodation and tough sea-keeping qualities, the Phantom 48 promises to be another class-leader from Fairline.  Initial interest in the boat has been promising and Fairline are looking further drive up sales during Southampton 2006 helped on by an ever increasing demand sales from Asia, despite global oil concerns.

The Phantom 48 has six berths and is unique, benefiting from a full width central master stateroom that features an oversized double bed, full height standing room and triple portrait feature windows. This is completed by a luxurious private en-suite bathroom and generous storage space. The new Phantom has a further two cabins; a forward double with spacious wardrobes and an en-suite, as well as an additional cabin that features two full length pullman berths that can both be folded away for owners to use as a dressing room or storage area. An aft cabin with dedicated access can also be specified, negating the need to remove cockpit cushions. The joinery throughout has been highly crafted in genuine lacquered American Cherry and Eucalyptus or a stunning new American White Oak with a satin finish.

ImageStowage facilities onboard the 48ft model are generous and careful attention has been paid to practical aspects aboard the boat with carefully placed handrails for easy manoeuvring around the boat. The finish of fittings, furnishings and panelling is to the highest standard and attention to detail includes individually commissioned cabinetry featuring grain-matched wood. Fairline has also used a wide selection of luxurious co-ordinating carpets, upholstery and curtain fabrics, that can be tailored to meet individual customers' needs.

The covered aft cockpit has cushioned rear seating and a teak laid floor throughout the self-draining cockpit. A transom gate leads to the large teak bathing platform, which can accommodate a 2.7 metre RIB and is fully equipped with a bathing ladder, hot and cold shower and wet locker.

With her superb Bernard Olensinki designed hull and through hull exhausts to reduce noise and vibration, the Phantom 48 is highly specified and is set to the one of the most popular Fairline models yet.
