![]() Modern hull can use Optimist fittings The very modern shaped hull coupled with it's ability to be able to use an Optimist's rig, daggerboard and rudder will make it an inviting prospect for those wanting to move up from an old Optimist onto something more modern. It's true to say that the Optimist still has a place but with modern technology things can have made a big improvement. One of the biggest changes has been made in the material and construction of the hull. Now we can extrude a stiff plastic shape cheaply that requires no maintenance and that withstand the knocks of everday use. In the UK it will retail for £1899, which is a few hundred pounds more that the basic RS Tera model. ![]() It's amazing what you can make from some old pens Are the French taking the bic? This looks like a great product, well concieved with the ability to upgrade, but we think will find it hard to make a huge impact in the UK, but will certainly make an impact in France. Other contenders for this space are the Topper Taz, Laser Pico which will not probably be too concerned as yet from this French invader.
