Jeanneau are trying to build on the success of the 54DS which has already clocked up over 150 units sold.  Last year came the 49DS and then the 42DS and now we have the 39DS making the fourth of the series, and with Jeanneau hoping it can repeat the success of the 54 DS due to the styling the whole range.

Sailing characteristics and build quality were not the reasons of success for the 54 DS, it was simply down to styling and when seen in the flesh it's an impressive looking boat. What remains to be seen, if this sales success can be repeated further down the size scale where competition hots up from more cost conscience buyers. It was no surprise to see Jeanneau first to emulate the 54DS success in the larger boat before moving down,

Certainly, the DS range from Jeanneau cannot be matched for appearances, however it will not be so easy to match the success of the 54 DS in the smaller sizes.
