However, Bavaria are the Vauxhall of boat manufacturers to use a motoring analogy, which is strange as coming from Bavaria which is BMW heartland that's short for "Break My Windows" if you are from South Africa.

The new Vision 44 price will come in at approx. €180 000 Euro's and although being similar in spec, cruising twin steering wheel, the simiarly spec'd Bénéteau Cyclades 43 is closer to €160 000 Euros.

That being said, it is clear that the new Vision line from Bavaria is an attempt to move up the food chain and not simply languish on the bottom by offering the Vision in a Deck Saloon configuration and with a high specification of standard equipment.  To do that however, the level of build and equipment must follow suit, and with the launch expected soon after England lift the World Cup in early July, we will know soon if Englands footballers are hero's or simply overpaid jumped up jessies and if Bavaria are capable of delivering Volkswagen build quality for Vauxhall prices.
