After it's acquisition last year by Wilan van den Berg, there is now a momentum for a new direction. The mid forty foot regatta market is very popular, just about everyone sees the value of a good sized family cruiser that can be used for serious competition as well. It's like an Audi RS 6, big performance car with a big boot ideal as the family transporter that has more than it's far share of street cred for an estate car. Dehler boldly state that they want to offer the fastest yacht in this segment, which might wake a few X-Yacht 43 and Bénéteau First 44.7 owners up and we only have to wait until August 2006 to see how it will actually perform on the water, give or take a few weeks on the world cup results. Main sail area is just under 60m squared with two interior fitting options of Elegance and Avant Garde, prices kick off around €369,000 Euro. |
