The 44.7, of which there are already at least 8 in the UK, was launched last year, and has been raising eyebrows in many spheres of the nautical world.

Groupe Bénéteau and Bruce Farr have once again created a stylish, competitive boat with a lot of expectation. Those expectations were realised as the 44.7 won virtually every main Australian IRC event this past winter, including Hamilton Island Race Week and Skandia Geelong Week. The 44.7 was also nominated for the 2005 European Yacht of the Year Awards.
