![]() Back to the cruising future with X-Yachts X-Yachts are set to launch a new range that offers greater comfort and style. X-Yachts are known for their racing heritage however the new Xc 45 will be the first model from a completely new range dedicated to cruising. Are X-Yachts going soft, as this might seem out of character for a racing brand like, much more likely is that they see a lucrative cruising market that they can tap into. The choice is clear, would your prefer a to drive a Lotus that seated 4 passengers, or the most expensive VW Golf there is? With brands like Beneteau and it's First 50, Finngulf (with some help from Nokia) and even the Dehler 44 making successful inroads into their market. However X-Yachts talk of "a deeper hull shape, with V sections forward of the keel, will ensure a smoother upwind sailing: under sail, under engine, or a combination of both."
