The invisible man models our jacket Henri Lloyd are one of the respected manufacturers of clothes on the market, which is why we were asked to test some of their garments. This included a lightweight Crew Jacket plus a Fast Dri Featherweight Polo Shirt. It looks like Henri Lloyd are trying to bring a more youthy image in thir brand, starting with their website which has just been recently been sexed up along similar lines to that of brand rival Helly Hansen. The jacket and polo are not exclusively sailing garments but also could be worn when walking the dog in the park, however I was most definitely sailing in the Solent when I recently tried them out to see just how good they really are. The jacket is a wind and water proof model made from a very lightweight material with an internal mesh to help wick moisture away from the skin. The jacket has two pockets on the outside, and a zipped inside pocket plus a seperate phone pouch, which I found fitted my new Nokia 6280 perfectly. Launch jacket with harness cutaway Perhaps, but it is from Helly Hansen, home of the Vikings and with double the coastline length than the UK at over 25,000km's. Life jackets like this can be had by any number of manufacturers including Gul ( I really must ask them for a test jacket ), Magic Marine, Gill, Rooster Sailing and Henri Lloyd to name a few. The model featured can been seen to be cut away in the middle at the front making harness wearers movement easier, whcih must be good as when wearing the trapeze harness, it's already quite restrictive. Who are you? Nothing is quite what it seems these days. Losing your hair is apparently an excuse for embarassing behaviour, Kojak please note and in the world of wired, jackets come with iPod connectors and thank Jobs for iPod so we don't have to actually talk to anyone on the tube. Apart from that Reebok has long gone into the hands of the all conquering Adidas brand, and those terribly nice people at Rockport or is it Reebok or Adidas thought it would be rather nice for my feet to dive into two pairs of their latest models, the moccassin Windward model, mocassin and the Impulsion, sailing deck shoe.
