Leading sailing clothing manufacturer, Henri-Lloyd, has been chosen as Official Technical Clothing Sponsor to Sir Robin Knox-Johnston when he competes in the VELUX 5 OCEANS round the world race, which commences on the 22 October 2006 from Bilbao, Spain, on board his yacht, Saga Insurance.

Southampton Free Seminars

Interestingly both brands have been acquired by bigger companies this year.  B & G is now part of Navico, along with Simrad, Lowrance and Eagle whilst Silva have just been acquired by Fiskars Corporation a Finnish company traded on the Helsinki exchange.

B&G will be hosting two free seminars at the Southampton Boat Show on Friday 22nd September, both of which are aimed at helping any level of sailor to efficiently utilise their electronics.

Silva Ltd are sponsoring a total of seven informal talks that are intended to be helpful to racing sailors from club up to national level, and attendees will have the opportunity to put their questions to recognised experts in each field.
