Beneteau Monte Carlo 32 Test in Monaco PDF Print E-mail

Beneteau Monte Carlo 32
Beneteau Monte Carlo 32 in Monaco
The Monte Carlo 32 from Beneteau testing in Monaco. The Monte Carlo 32 looks just like it's bigger brother the Monte Carlo 37 that came onto the scene at the London Boat Show 2007. The modern contemporary looks combined with it's patented Air Step Hull makes it the leader in the range for around £90,000

The Monte Carlo 32 comes in two main bodies, either an Open cockpit or with a Hard Top and an electricaly retractable sun roof to help to give as much protection as possible from the elements. The Hard Top is an option for an extra £7,000 and with the British weather could be well worth the extra giving the owner many more on the water days with the added protection.

Contact details for the Beneteau Monte Carlo 32 are Nick Ward of Prime Motor Yachts in Weymouth on +44 (0)1305 766660

Beneteau’s patented solution called “Air Step” allows air to be drawn into the space beneath the hull immediately behind the step via two tubes. On the Monte Carlo 37 you can find the input just at the bottom of the windscreen. On the Monte Carlo 32 we find two small stainless covers to the side of each hull just slightly forward and below of the windscreen on the side on the hull. This is just a natural improvement in the Air Step system that first came onto the market only last year. This allows Beneteau some improvement during assembly with a less complex tube fitting, saving time and money.

Huge power and stunning looks for £3 Mil GBP
Huge power and stunning looks for £3 Mil GBP

Magnum Marine, the Miami-based manufacturer of the world’s finest high-performance yachts, launched its latest creation at the 2008 Miami Boat Show, the fabulous new Magnum 80’. It's bold styling and unbelievable power and performance, was one of the show’s main attractions. Like boats of this calibre, if you need to are ask the price then certainly you can't afford it, however expect not to see too much change from about £3 million GBP.

Designed by Pininfarina, the Magnum 80’ is the company’s largest and fastest yacht to date. The 80-foot brute is equipped with twin 2400 HP MTU diesels coupled to race-bred Arneson surface drives that deliver a top speed of around 60 MPH – truly remarkable for such a large craft. Even more impressive is Magnum’s legendary and unsurpassed ride quality. The deep-V hull cuts through the waves ensuring a smooth, comfortable and quiet ride even in adverse sea conditions.

The Magnum 80 has that same look of "we'll crush you" power that makes the question of beauty seem irrelevant
Tom Wolfe, Author

Tom Wolfe, the famous author, was recently aboard this new Magnum model. "I thought I was looking at the X-15 rocket plane,” he said. “The difference is, the X-15 didn't have a sybaritic three-terrace open deck out back of the cockpit."

Tuesday, 05 February 2008
Available in 3 cabin choices from £1.94 Mil
Available in 3 cabin choices from £1.94 Mil

This 19-meter yacht represents the transition between the WallyTender and the larger WallyPower yachts. She fully exploits the WallyPower line concept to integrate design and function, and combines large interior volumes with high performance, sea keeping, and wide open air areas. The 64 WallyPower features the unique and marked characteristics of the Wally motor yacht models. There are three options of the interior layout available, these differ for the number and type of cabins. All three versions will have en-suites.

The vertical bow increases performance and comfort in all sea conditions. The sleek profile resulting from the perfectly proportioned hull-deckhouse, is an unquestionable mark of style and elegance. The unique shape of the hull provides for wider decks than those usually found in the boats of similar size, whilst keeping the same beam at the water line and therefore the same performance. Transparency and view are the key points of the superstructure design.
