Oceanis value from Bénéteau Since the launch of the Océanis 50 last December, Bénéteau have continued to update the Océanis range with the arrival of the Océanis 40 and 46 in September 2006. In what is seens as a bid to try to slow the 1000 units sold and still rising march of the Jeanneau SO 40.3, Bénéteau hope to emulate the success of it's rival. Despite the poor quality images shown, Oceanis is the name given to Bénéteau's luxury cruising range as opposed to it's Cyclades models which are more designed around sailing families on a budget. These two stylish Oceanis models have hulls and decks designed by the Berret-Racoupeau design office and an interior created by Nauta Design to try to give some elegance and style.Jean Berret and Olivier Racoupeau’s have tried to balance high-performance whilst ensuring there are well-proportioned with enough space to create excellent, Cruising value pound for pound can't be found much cheaper yet comfortable interior accommodation in the design of the hulls. No indication of price on the water yet for the UK, but with the Oceanis 47'3 around £170,000 and the 393 at around £105,000, cruising pound for pound can't be found much cheaper elsewhere.
