Challenge Business in action The last of the Global Challenge Yacht races has been organised by Challenge Business. As we reported in September of this year, Dame Ellen MacArthur's Barcelona Yacht Race, was the final nail into the coffin of Challenge Business, as there is only so much yacht racing sponsorship going around. Now Nigel Morrison and Richard Hawes, partners in Grant Thornton UK LLP, who have have been appointed joint Administrators of The Challenge Business International Limited ( the Company or Challenge ), a company established by Sir Chay Blyth to organise the Global Challenge round-the-world yacht race. The company also runs and participates in a number of other yachting events such as the Round Britain and Ireland Challenge, Transat Challenge, entering yachts in the Rolex Fastnet Race, and organising corporate yachting events.
The first Global Challenge race, The British Steel Challenge took place in 1992 to 1993 and the race has now been run four times.

Yours for £279,000 GBP ex vat Ipswich based Broadblue Catamarans, now the UK's leading catamaran builder, will be showing it's 435 and 385 catamaran during the Southampton 2006 Show, with pricing from £150,000 ex vat for the 385, rising to £279,000 GBP ex vat for the 435 and going up to £360,000 ex vat for the 465. The real benfit of large cat ownership is of course the large living area you get from two hulls, plus the adjoining bit in the middle. With the 435, the owner's starboard hull has a spacious aft cabin with fitted cupboards and vanity unit, a separate office desk area is amidships and forward heads and shower compartment. The port hull accommodates two double cabins and a separate heads and shower. The 385 however is an ideal family cruiser offering exceptional accommodation for a boat of its size while sailing is made easy with its aptly named "Easy Sail Rig". This has a small mainsail stepped aft with a large furling genoa providing fast and stable performance. An alternative "Sport" option takes the rig further forward with a large roached, fully battened main and smaller genoa. The sport rig is designed for fast passage making and for those who enjoy even more exhilarating sailing, probably previous Hobie sailors.
