Clipper Marine to show 3 new models

Clipper Marine to show 3 new Bavaria models at Southampton
Clipper Marine to show 3 new models at Southampton, Bavaria Sport 28, the Bavaria Cruiser 32 and the Bavaria Cruiser 55.
Both the new power and sail models have pushed marine design parameters, with Bavaria Yachtbau teaming up with Bruce Farr Yacht Designs and BMW Designworks USA, a subsidiary of the BMW Group, for a serious collaboration on a whole new line and design ethos.

Richard Hewett, Director, Clipper Marine

The Bavaria Sport 28 is heralded as a good all-rounder, ideal for sport and family cruising. Its new functions and improved operability have produced an overall dynamic and powerful entrant to the motor boat market with a spacious sunbathing deck, 5 seater cockpit and separate stern cabin including a double bed and upgraded bathroom as well as expanded storage opportunities.

The Bavaria Cruiser 32 and 55 are unique, both developed closely through BMW and also renowned in the sailing world, Farr Yacht Design. The latest concept offers an optimized bow for increased performance at sea and a spacious interior layout below decks, definite new competitors to the cruising yacht range and dream boats for the sailing fraternity with endorsement of Bruce Farr, the world’s foremost designer of racing and cruising sailing yachts.

German manufacturers such as Hanse and Bavaria are activley trying to gain market share from mainstream French brands (Jeanneau - Beneteau) through acquisition ( Hanse buying Moody ) as well as through innovation and design as here with Bavaria.WhatBoat? Magazine Editor Jacqui Missen

Any competition is good and whilst Bavaria models have always been attractive from a price vs size perspective, now it looks like it's Bavaria want to raise the bar in terms of robustness as well. The Bavaria 55 comes at a time when both Jeanneau and Beneteau released similarly sized flag ship sail boat models themselves.

We are certainly looking forward to be able to test and review these models soon.
